SURFACE NARRATIVES

On the third edition of Design Miami.Paris, Fornasetti unveils a series of new unique pieces exploring the narrative potential of surfaces, conceived as a meeting point between matter and vision.
The exhibition unfolds as an open visual montage, in which heterogeneous materials intertwine with artisanal precision and poetic imagination, shaping an aesthetic lexicon in evolution.
At the heart of this investigation lie the decorative techniques of marquetry and engraving, which unexpectedly translate Fornasetti's imagery onto glass, wood, metal and zinc.

The Trumeau Riflesso di Panoplie extends the reflection on glass as a sensitive surface to be drawn upon, exploring the 1950s décor that best embodies the encyclopaedic spirit of Fornasetti.

A unique piece made of hand-engraved mirrored glass in collaboration with Barbini Specchi Veneziani, a historic Murano glassmaker.

The buffet Strumenti da disegno, originally from Casa Fornasetti, has been reimagined with hand-inlaid panels crafted from a medley of wood veneers, brass, and aluminum details.

The décor merges formal classicism with contemporary graphic sensitivity in a one-of-a-kind creation.

The Trumeau Litobar offers a refined interplay of materials: from the original zinc-alloy lithographic plates to elegant walnut burl, enriched by the mirror at the centre.

The interior reveals a surprising scenographic effect: fluted mirrors amplify the space, transforming a storage piece into a theatrical element.
