ORIGINAL SIN

Fornasetti is a scientist of the imagination, rigorously studying reality and transforming it with his characteristic black stroke and a wise dose of madness. In his creative encyclopaedia he rewrites medieval bestiaries and herbariums, pulling together different mythologies, suggestions and archetypes. And so the Peccato Originale design was born: the coils of the snake creep into a forest of foliage, rewriting the Garden of Eden’s fate on furnishing accessories such as trays, paper baskets, cushions and the iconic Fornasetti curved cabinet.
