Piero Fornasetti reflected in a mirror with the “egocentrismo” optical decoration: this kind of decoration became very fashionable. Fornasetti used it in the 1950’s, an example of his influence on fashion, during those years. He took part, for the first time, in the Milan Triennale, with a series of scarves in printed silk. 1935 at the sixth Triennale he showed, among other things, a bronze stele and decorative ceramic-frieze in an archaic style. 1940 met Gio Ponti during the occasion of the Seventh Triennale, designed the lunar commissioned by Ponti. 1942 executed frescoes for the palazzo Bo, Padova 1943-1946 went into exile in Switzerland 1947 exhibited at the Triennale a series of motifs for ceramics, (commissioned by Giò Ponti). 1950 decorated the interior of the Casinò of San Remo 1951 first example of a complete interior design for the “Casa Lucano”, in collaboration with Giò Ponti. Exhibited his “Architettura” furniture at the Ninth Triennale.
